David Cook, American Idol Season 7 winner, performed Permanent on the finale of American Idol 2009. Permanent is from his platinum-selling self-titled debut album. The lyrics and music were written by
David Cook along with Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida.
The song is dedicated to his brother Adam Cook who died of brain cancer on May 2 at age 37.  Download the song from iTunes. Proceeds will go to a cancer foundation.

Cook was recently in the Philippines and had a one night back to back concert with David Archuleta. It was attended by over 40,000 fans!
