A website called MissingMoney.com, a national database, was established in November 1999 and is the only database endorsed by the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators (NAUPA). MissingMoney.com enables owners to perform comprehensive searches for lost assets required by law to be turned over to the states. Unclaimed funds include uncashed checks and wages, stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and dividends.

Just enter your name and a list will come out if you’re matched.  After completing a claim form, you will be required to submit proof of ownership such as checkbooks, social security numbers, etc. It may take some time for your claims to be processed.
